Lady Zainab bravely gave a speech in the court of Yazid. She did this at a time when women were not welcome in public gatherings and when she had lost so many members of her family. She spoke directly to the people who had caused her so much grief and pain. Lady Zainab had no notes to refer to, or any time to plan what she was going to say.
